Last week California officially became the first “sanctuary state,” Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill which bans authorities from requesting people to disclose their legal status and forbids the police to work with feds on immigration.
Anyhow, President Trump instantly responded with way better idea when it comes to the treatment of illegal immigrants.
The new law will start in force on January 1, 2018. Anyhow this new law will mean nothing because President Trump’s federal immigration task force doesn’t intend to pay attention to Brown’s new bill.
As reported, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement doesn’t really care.
ICE Director Thomas Homan stated that he has “no choice” other than to arrest illegal immigrant in California in spite of Gov. Jerry Brown new law.
“Despite the severe challenges that this law creates for ICE, we remain committed to our public safety mission and we will continue to do our sworn duty to seek out dangerous criminal aliens and other immigration violators,” he continued. “ICE seeks straightforward cooperation with all sheriffs and local elected officials. This misguided legislation will severely undermine those efforts.”
Brown signed SB55 a few years ago after Kate Steinle was killed in San Fransisco by an illegal criminal, Juan Francisco López-Sánchez, who was deported several times but somehow he still returned to the states.
Anyhow, this is the first time the U.S. has a president so tough on illegal immigration, he and his administration are working so hard to make America safer again, and he won’t let some Communist Governor ruin that.
Ironically, California has the worst economy right now in the whole America. And if we are looking for a state who cannot handle the burden of mass illegal aliens, that would be California.
