Dressing little girls up for Halloween in Disney’s Moana costume is racist, according to a parent blogger. Elsa from Frozen isn’t a safe bet either, her character apparently promotes “White Beauty.”
Leftist blogger Sachi Feris has been telling parents that they shouldn’t dress their children up in any character outfit that comes from a different culture other than their own. Feris calls it “cultural appropriation” in her Raising Race Conscious Children blog.
Both Moana and Elsa are strong female characters and good role models, but Feris insists it’s racially insensitive. Feris said, “If we are going to dress up a real person, we have to make sure we are doing it in a way that is respectful. Otherwise, it is like we are making fun of someone else’s culture.”
Are you thinking about all the different costumes you wore as a child? I am!
Sorry, but if your little one likes #Moana (s)he deserves to go out for Halloween without being called a racist

Whattttttt? So it’s considered racist for my daughter to dress up as #Moana for Halloween? Well, you can get over it?this has gotten way out of hand..absolutely ridiculous. It’s a fictional cartoon character. Kids have been doing it forever https://t.co/MHl0rPr4K5

Feris said that Disney’s Frozen character, Elsa, is a White princess and required to be beautiful. Therefore, parents are sending a message to the child, that they needs to look a certain way.
Liberals have completely lost their sense of humor, and their minds with this one. The National Review called out the hypocrisy of the situation, “Do you have to be Transylvanian to dress up as Dracula? Do you have to be Egyptian to be The Mummy? Do you have to be dead to be a ghost?”

These are children trying to play dress up for Halloween and have fun. Leave them alone.
